Embroidered Centennial Ring Emblem

A special and separate emblem, this optional, embroidered Centennial circle is placed around the World Crest, affirming Scouting's noble 100-year legacy. Fully embroidered in red, white, blue, and gold, it reads Boy Scouts of America, 1910-2010.

The emblem is designed to be worn by ALL members of the BSA during 2010 and 2011. It should be worn between August 2009 and July 2011, when the last of the BSA's official observances recognizing the BSA's 100th anniversary will have concluded.

The Centennial Ring Emblem is NOT a PERMANENT PART OF THE UNIFORM but rather one of several TEMPORARY PIECES OF INSIGNIA which the BSA developed to allow Scouts, Scouters, Venturing youth and adult, and Sea Scout youth and adults, as well as all volunteers and professionals to honor the BSA's 100th year of service to our nation.

It is not a must, but 100 years of Scouting in America is something to celebrate. So lets celebrate with a new patch.... after all we all love patches!!
